Information for European VELUX customers about CE marking

From 1st July 2013 the Construction Product Directive (CPD) is replaced by the Construction Products Regulation, CPR 305/2011, which makes it mandatory within the EU for construction products covered by a harmonised European standard to be CE marked. We can therefore confirm that all VELUX Roof Windows, Flat Roof systems, Modular Skylights, smoke ventilation, glazing units, external awning blinds and shutters covered by a harmonised standard are CE marked according to the Construction Product Regulation.

The data plate is placed on the window and the top unit (dome/flat glass cover), respectively: On the window, the data plate can be found on the inside, at the bottom on the window sash. On the top unit, the data plate can be found on the outside, indented on the side of the unit.

The data plate is placed on the inside of the light diffuser. It can be seen when the ceiling ring is removed.

The data plate can be found by opening the window and rotating it 180 degrees. The data plate is placed to the left in the glazing unit cavity.

Mechanical: The data plate can be seen through the pane on the lowered awning blind. The data plate is placed to the right in the bottom slat.

Manual: The data plate can be found on the roll. Carefully roll out the awning blind completely until the roll can be seen. The data plate is placed to the right on the roll.

The data plate can be seen through the pane on the lowered shutter. The data plate is placed to the right in the bottom slat.

The data plate is placed on the top sash, on the right or left-hand side, and can be seen when opening the window.

The data plate is placed on the window and the flashing, respectively: On the open window, the data plate can be found on the top sash, on the right or left-hand side. The data plate for the flashing is printed on the packaging.

The data plate is placed on the inside at the bottom of the window sash.
